Uruguay installs its first cryptocurrency ATM

On January 15, it was reported that Uruguay received the first cryptocurrency ATM in its territory, which has been installed in the city of Punta del Este in the southeastern part of the country.

This encrypted ATM was developed by Urubit and Inbierto, the former focusing on the software part of the system and the latter providing the hardware for the ATM.

It is reported that the installed encrypted ATM only supports five cryptocurrencies (including two national tokens): ferret token, urubit, BTC, BNB and BUSD.
