The State Bank of Pakistan and the federal government have decided to ban all cryptocurrencies, according to a report submitted to the Sindh High Court (SHC) during a hearing in a case concerning digital currencies.

On October 20 last year, the Sindh High Court asked the federal government to regulate cryptocurrencies within three months. The court had previously directed the government to form a committee headed by the federal finance minister to determine the legal status of cryptocurrencies, SAMAA TV reported. (Pakistan SAMAA TV)
