Notice on the implementation of differential electricity price policy for virtual currency "mining" electricity

In order to rectify virtual currency "mining" activities and further promote energy conservation and emission reduction, in accordance with the "Notice of the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments on rectifying virtual currency "mining" activities" (Fakai Run [2021] No. 1283), the Our district implements a differential electricity price policy for virtual currency "mining" electricity. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Implement differential electricity prices for the electricity consumption of virtual currency "mining" projects. The virtual currency "mining" project is included in the implementation scope of the differential electricity price policy, and the electricity price of "elimination-type" enterprises is implemented, and the price increase standard is 1 yuan per kilowatt-hour. The Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission updated the list of virtual currency "mining" projects in a timely manner, and the power grid company charged the electricity fee in full and in time according to the project list to ensure that the differential electricity price policy was strictly implemented.

2. Prohibit virtual currency "mining" projects from participating in electricity market transactions. Strengthen the supervision of the power market order, strengthen the screening of corporate users participating in the power market, prohibit virtual currency "mining" projects from participating in power market transactions in any name, and prohibit virtual currency "mining" projects from enjoying the power market in any way. Virtual currency "mining" projects that have participated in electricity market transactions will be suspended from the date of publication of the list.

3. It is forbidden to access power supply lines with low electricity prices without authorization to conduct virtual currency "mining". According to the relevant provisions of the "Power Supply Business Rules", on a power supply line with a low price of electricity, if the electricity equipment with a high price of electricity is connected without authorization or the type of electricity is changed without authorization, the difference electricity fee shall be paid according to the actual use date, and the difference shall be doubled. The default of electricity bills uses electricity bills. If the start and end dates of use are difficult to determine, the actual use time shall be calculated as three months.
