On February 4, Nike sued used shoe trading platform StockX, accusing it of selling unauthorized Nike NFT sneakers.

StockX began selling unauthorized Nike NFT sneakers last month, Nike said, and told buyers they would be able to redeem physical versions of the shoes "in the near future." It is reported that StockX has sold more than 500 Nike-branded NFTs.

In response, Nike sought damages in the lawsuit and ordered a ban on the sale of these products. Becoming, Nike also said it will release "a range of virtual products" later this month with digital art studio RTFKT, which it acquired in December.

Detroit-based StockX, a platform for resale sneakers, handbags and other merchandise, was valued at more than $3.8 billion last year.
