According to Khabarhub news on February 14, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) of the Nepalese police warned against engaging in illegal online businesses such as cryptocurrencies, super funds and digital networks.

The CIB has issued a notice saying it is conducting detailed monitoring of the prohibited businesses.

The agency said it had investigated those involved in such illegal businesses and was taking action.

The CBI urged everyone not to engage in transactions in such businesses, saying that online transactions under cryptocurrencies and digital network businesses were recently outlawed. The CBI also requires the public to report to the CBI if they discover that someone is involved in and operating such an illegal business.

CBI Superintendent Shyam Kumar Mahato said those who are proven to run or participate in such illegal businesses will be jailed and fined.
