Ethereum Charity Organization Nomic Foundation Receives $15 Million Donation from Vitalik and Others

On February 12, the Ethereum public welfare organization Nomic Foundation announced its official establishment on February 9, focusing on improving and expanding the developer platform of Ethereum, while taking over other open engineering projects and related teams of Hardhat and Nomic Labs. The Hardhat tool suite will continue to be expanded.

Hardhat is a development environment for compiling, deploying, testing and debugging Ethereum applications.

According to reports, the Ethereum Foundation, Vitalik Buterin, Coinbase, Consensys, The Graph, Polygon, Chainlink, Gnosis, a16z, a_capital and Kaszek Ventures have donated $15 million to the organization, of which the Ethereum Foundation donated $8 million. Next, the organization will also submit funding proposals to several DAOs to reach a total funding of $30 million.
