Crypto VC Spartan Group Launches $100M Web3 Venture Fund

On March 17, The Spartan Group, a crypto venture capital firm, announced the launch of a $100 million Web3 fund. Former CoinMarketCap vice president Shaun Heng joined the Spartan Group and led the fund’s operating entity, Spartan Labs.

Headquartered in Asia, Spartan Group was established in 2017 with a portfolio including 1inch, Acala, Synthetix and more.

Launching a $110 million DeFi VC fund in 2021, and recently announced the launch of a $200 million Metaverse/NFT/Gaming fund.
