Vitalik Buterin said that PoW mechanism does not solve the centralization problem

Serotonin CEO Amanda Cassatt said that many community members privately supported the Proof-of-Work (PoW) mechanism in Ethereum, despite the network’s move to Proof-of-Stake (PoS).However, Vitalik Buterin stated that the PoW algorithm was fairly centralized.To confirm his words he published a map of the mining pools that controlled most of the hashrate.He also noted that PoW was only an intermediate stage for Ethereum.
