Reuters: Venezuela has started using USDT in oil deals due to US sanctions

According to Reuters, Venezuela’s state oil company PDVSA has switched to USDT as the U.S. has imposed oil sanctions on Venezuela.PDVSA has switched many spot oil deals to a contract model that requires prepayment of half the value of each cargo in USDT.The company also requires all new customers to hold cryptocurrency in a digital wallet.
